Paris, June 27, 2018 - Finalcad, a world leader in digital transformation for construction, infrastructure, energy and concessions, is accelerating its deployment within Eiffage Route, a pioneer in digital transformation of roadworks.
The vast majority of road projects consist of short maintenance operations (from a few days to a few weeks), involving a small number of workers, but which represent a large volume of projects in parallel. Finalcad Live, initially launched in April at the INTERMAT international trade show, was designed to meet the specific needs of the roadworks, such as sharing geolocated event reports and simplifying communication about the construction site progress. For maximum adoption, Finalcad Live has been designed for smartphone usage, which are now widely common across teams working in the field.
The initial objective of deployment was to digitize 25% of the Eiffage Route roadworks projects value with Finalcad by the end of 2018. This objective has already been achieved to date, which reflects a perfect fit of the tool to the specifics of the roadworks and strong adoption by the teams in the field. Finalcad Live has been adopted on a quantity of short-term projects, as well as large-scale projects such as the Bordeaux Métropole Tramway. To date, nearly 500 operational staff members are equipped with Finalcad, out of a population of 2,500. The objective for 2020 is to achieve a digitization of 75% of the roadworks projects value.
