Starting November 13, Finalcad will be participating in IFAWPCA’s 44th Convention, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
IFAWPCA, or the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations, plays a critical role:
- In promoting international fellowship and cooperation;
- In developing beneficial relationship between governments and contractors in the region; and in establishing cooperative working arrangements in furtherance of civil and building construction projects.
Their annual convention is a place where renowned international and local speakers share their knowledge and discuss issues that the construction industry is facing. The event will address the following topics: China’s Belt and Road Initiative, globalization, emerging trends in construction, external threats and industry challenge.
This year’s convention brings the theme “Strategic Alliance with Innovation & Human Capital as its core message; three components essential for the continued growth of the Construction Industry. With technology growing rapidly while the pool of experienced construction personnel shrinks, the need for a strategic alliance among member countries is even more vital now. The focus on human capital development is paramount; as such it will be one of the main subjects deliberated in the conference with prominent industry leaders. (IFAWPCA, 2018).
