Paris and Miami, Jan 27, 2016 - Finalcad has been selected as the unique punch list tool for the Brickell City Centre construction site in Miami, Florida.
The Brickell City Centre project is a 5.5-millon sqft mixed-use development comprised of two office buildings, two residential towers and a hotel, on top of a 5-storey shopping mall, and is the largest single project in the city to date. The Brickell City Centre is built byAmericaribe-Moriarty Joint Venture for Swire Properties Ltd and aims to achieve LEED™ Gold certification.
In spite of the complexity and size of the project, Finalcad was able to deliver the turnkey project in a couple weeks. “We asked Finalcad to set up the project in a few weeks, and they were really able to react to what we needed” said Stephane Montfort, Project Executive at Americaribe-Moriarty JV, in charge of the condominum towers at the Brickell City Center. “This level of reactivity and quality at scale can be achieved thanks to our experience of 7,000 projects and software automation of production processes” explained Jimmy Louchart, Co-founder and President of Finalcad.
Finalcad construction software is available as a mobile app for contractors and owners helping them to track quality on construction sites. Finalcad digitizes critical construction site processes, producing quality control checklists for structural works, HVAC and plumbing works as well as architectural finishing works and streamlines punchlist management, commissioning, and facility management processes. These digital management features are provided and uniquely combined with blueprints preparation and objects library customization. Additionally, data collected on site can be used to feed a predictive analytics engine, allowing contractors to anticipate issues before they even strike. Together these characteristics have formed the reputation of Finalcad and led to its massive adoption by those working on site.
On the Brickell City Centre construction site, Finalcad acts as the central point of reference for the whole project team, including the owner, contractor and subcontractors. Each stakeholder is provided with its own view of the completion status and remaining issues to be fixed. Finalcad has been used to collect more than 60,000 punchlist items and 50,000 on-site pictures to date, allowing the project to reach the expected standards of quality sooner. “ Finalcad has helped us achieve a level of quality in a limited time range” said Mauricio Velez, Deputy Quality Control Manager, Americaribe-Moriarty JV.

About the Brickell City Centre project
Situated in the heart of the Brickell financial district of Miami, Florida, the Brickell City Centre development is a mixed-use development totaling a gross floor area of over 2.89 million sq ft (approximately 269,000 sqm), excluding car park and circulation areas. The Brickell City Centre is the largest single project in the city to date, as well as the largest construction project currently on the East Coast. It features 520,000 sq ft (over 48,000 sqm) retail, three office buildings, two residential towers and a 264-room hotel with 87 serviced apartments. Designed by renowned Miami-based architectural firm Arquitectonica, the Brickell City Centre project will be developed in two phases. Phase I which includes all elements except for an office tower is expected to be completed in 2015, whilst Phase II is scheduled for completion in 2018.
