Paris, September 17th, 2013 - Finalcad, the only digital construction monitoring offer used for football stadium sites, was also chosen for the Nice Allianz Riviera Stadium construction and operational functions.
Construction of the new Nice Football Stadium, named Allianz Riviera, started in summer 2011. The project designed by the well-known architect, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, combines both innovation and eco-design; it will be able to welcome 35 000 people (seating) for sports and cultural shows. The stadium area will also offer 7 000 m² for professional services and host the new National Sports Museum. With its outstanding wooden lattice structure, the stadium will be the first landmark structure of the Var Eco Valley.
VINCI Construction and its local team used Finalcad during all the construction phase, and will also use it for routine and heavy maintenance, as well as for on-site services, for the next 25 years.
Michel Vermeersch Deputy Project Director (VINCI), chose Finalcad as the best solution to simplify and maximize the monitoring phase performance. He has been convinced by Finalcad's wide range of solutions, its ease of use and its efficiency:
“Finalcad is a digital tool that makes the remaining work very clear; it helped us to manage all issues with a lot of flexibility”.
On this large-scale project, Finalcad boosted a better multi-projects management, being used at the same time by the project owner, operator, and all contractors working on site. All the corrections and defects remarks are saved under Finalcad, and will be used also for the operation phase.
